Sam Shepard’s Fool for Love follows the story of May and Eddie, long-time off-and-on-again lovers with a dark secret and a tumultuous past.
Enter Martin, an innocent yard worker who arrives to take May on a date and along with the Old Man, a figment of May & Eddie’s imagination, is thrown into their spiraling reunion. Fool for Love is a fast-paced, heart-wrenching and at times hilarious tale.
Setting the play in present day, Q44 Theatre wish to breathe new life into this brilliantly conceived and timeless play by a world-renowned playwright. Fool for Love explores the themes of love, dysfunctional family relationships and female empowerment and will be an exciting and engaging experience for all theatregoers.
“It’s an exhilarating ride watching this dark tale unfold and this is mostly due to the performances of its two leads, Mark Davis and Rebecca Fortuna who are, quite frankly, phenomenal. They have truly captured their characters and the chemistry is electric in their scenes together.”
